You can choose between “Coffee to stay” and “Coffee to go”.

The frenetic pace of everyday life slows down once you enter our bar. Here, you will rediscover the simple pleasures of life, such as laying-back to read your newspaper while sipping excellent coffee, always served with a glass of fresh Bolzano water.
More than 70 copies of 40 different newspapers in 10 languages are available every day.

The bar is open from 7 am to 11 pm.

Seated at our tables under the porch, you will overlook Piazza Walther, Bolzano’s showcase square.

The daily ritual of having an aperitif, a good chat with friends, reading the newspapers, a drink or glass of good wine – enjoy all this while the bustling passersby keep you company.

Breakfast at the Hotel Città

Breakfast at our bar or on the terrace has become a ritual for many of Bolzano's inhabitants as well as for passing tourists. It is always a good occurrence for meeting friends and exchanging ideas. A classic Italian breakfast is served with cappuccino, cornetto (Italian croissant) and freshly squeezed orange juice.

On the other hand, a continental breakfast can also be enjoyed with coffee and milk, tea or cocoa-milk served with bread, butter and jam. “English breakfasts” are also becoming popular, served with eggs and bacon, as well as Sekt Frühstück (Champagne breakfast), Bauernfrühstück (Farmer’s breakfast) or Bayerisches Frühstück (Bavarian breakfast) – these can all replace a small meal during the day. Naturally, we also offer a low-protein breakfast with, for example, tea, fruit salad, cereals, freshly squeezed orange juice, black bread, yoghurt or ricotta.

Our homemade cakes

The rich and delicious tradition of cake-making is typical for our culture. In the hotel’s cake-shop, confectionary art is practised supremely: cakes and sweets are made every day with recipes derived from the Viennese, Neapolitan or Sicilian culture.

You will always find luscious cannoli siciliani (Sicilian ricotta-filled rolls), cassate (Sicilian ricotta and chocolate cake), cakes and assorted fruit tarts … as well as ricotta cakes, orange cakes and our delicious white chocolate mousse. We also offer traditional German cakes such as apple strudels, rustic Buckwheat cakes, Linzer cakes, Black Forest cakes and, in autumn, the tasty Kastanienherzen, chestnut hearts covered in chocolate. In any case, the king of cakes is the Sacher, the world-renowned chocolate cake.

Hotel Città places great value in healthy and gourmet cuisine and hence only high-quality products are used for its restaurant, breakfast buffet and bar. Some of these products are part of the assortment of specialities on sale at the hotel: for example, biscuits from the famous Mattei di Prato biscuit-maker, a wide range of Dammann French teas, up to 30 types of single-flower honeys and the “Il Mongetto” jams produced only with fruit and sugar and no added preservatives.

All these products can be tasted in our StadtCaféCittà bar or purchased in their original packaging to take back home as a tasty souvenir.
